Welcome to the home of CaseFileMethod.com

CaseFile Method is a problem-oriented approach to law teaching. There are courses listed on the left-hand side of the screen. Clicking on any course will display the materials for that course, along with a teaching note for each CaseFile.

Please read the FAQ listed on the left side of the screen for more information about the materials and how they are used and distributed. For information on whether you want to adopt these materials for your class, read the essay titled A Little Essay on Legal Education .  [Further thoughts are here.]

The webpage that greets you on www.CaseFileMethod.com is targeted at students. It contains all the CaseFiles for the courses listed as well as statutory materials. It is accessed by a purchased password.

Create a Custom Course Set to Fit Your Needs

Many professors use our standard course sets to augment their class.  However, some choose to have us create a custom set just for their course.  If you would like us to create a custom set for your students, mail the list of CaseFiles you would like to use to dleslie@virginia.edu and we will setup a custom set for your students.
